The meeting we had with the client was on 24th April this gave us the opportunity to discuss information regarding the brief that was set for us. When negotiating with a client it is very important because by doing so, you are able to know what the client wants meeting their standards. The client's name was David Pearson, the purpose of the meeting was so that we could discuss with him and our production team about how creative we could be, and talking about the ideas we had already roughly decided.

Meeting deadlines:( weekly diary of progress to schedule)

Our team had been working on the production plan a week before enabling us to meet deadlines, we believe our ideas were well developed so we got feedback from sir in which he felt the same giving us guidance on how to create our ideas using animation and stop motion.

Quality management:( meeting to discuss the production quality and fitness for purpose of each idents- what will be discussed/renegotiated with client before production starts)

We negotiated about the idents not being seasonal because there was no snow for winter, not enough sun for summer and no red leaves for autumn, this would be very difficult to meet. The client had agreed that these idents don’t have to be seasonal anymore given the limitation.  Our second concern with the brief was the duration this is because we believed that it would be better if the duration could be shorter because our idents didn’t last as long as 30 seconds.

I strongly agree that our team worked well together and was well communicated with each other during the production. Meaning that we are well organized meeting the given deadline.

our production team gave a pitch to our client discussing our ideas. In the pitch we gave a basic summary for each of our ideas, explaining what will be happening in each ident.

2-Meeting deadlines: (weekly diary of progress to schedule)

Before we gave our pitch to our client we made sure that all our work was put into a portfolio in terms of the key information that was required for our client to see. From this he can get an understanding of our ideas and se whether he was happy with it or not before we then continued.

Quality management: (meeting to discuss the production quality and fitness for purpose of each of the idents- what will be discussed/renegotiated with client before production starts)

During the pitch we discussed to our client David Pearson the budget for our production this includes things such as the travel, food, software and equipment needed. Our client seemed very happy with out ideas and our theme being community meeting his requirements. Before our pitch we produced a production plan this included our designs for our ideas, the budget, storyboards and other key information. This helped give the client an understanding of our production knowing what our final product will look like. We also discussed about the duration for the idents which we negotiated from 30 seconds to 20 seconds this was because we believe that the given time of 30 seconds was too log for an ident. The client was happy to change the duration making it easier for us to complete all four idents on time.

Team working: (weekly team log of contributions and management of the production)

I believe our team worked very well together as everyone contributed in the pitch discussing one idea per person, making it well laid out fitting to the 6-minute minimum we had to pitch our ideas to our client.

2nd May 2017- Pre production

This day we received feedback from sir based on our portfolio that we had given our client before our pitch.

Meeting deadlines: (weekly diary of progress to schedule)

We had to make sure our pre production was completed before we were allowed to go and shoot for our suite of deadlines, which our team successfully met, however some elements of work needed improving such as the treatment.

Quality management:( meeting to discuss the production quality and fitness for purpose of each of the idents – what will be discussed/renegotiated with client before production starts)

Some of the work which we showed sir was not of a high quality meaning that we had to spend extra time on improving our work to get it up to high standards. We was first given an NYA grade, as some of the work wasn’t good enough or completed correctly.

Team working:( weekly team log of contributions and management of the production)

All members in the group completed their individual tasks however some were not of a high quality meaning that they needed improving.

12th May

Our first ident, which we filmed, was our hands idents, which we filmed in the green room where we used stop motion.

Meeting deadlines:( weekly diary of progress to schedule)

Are deadline for all idents is for the 26th May where all idents needed to be fully completed and animated.

Quality management:( meeting to discuss the production quality and fitness for purpose of each of the idents (what will be discussed/ renegotiated with client before production starts)

Our producer in our team forgot to book our locations needed to film the idents resulting in us having to waste more time on shooting the idents as the rooms were not booked. The equipment was booked out per day in which we was filming.

Team working:( weekly team log of contributions and management of the production)

We all took part when it came to filming whether it was being a cameraman or suggesting ideas on how it should be shoot. For our first ident we completed it within one day giving us time to film the rest.  After filming our first ident our team member Daniel was responsible for our SD card which he some how lost resulting in us having to re film our ident which push us back also loosing out on time we needed to complete the rest and edit.
